Black Democrats Want Vote On Reparations This Month
Black Democrats want party leaders to agree to hold a vote on reparations this month, following the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre.
The Hill reported that members of the Congressional Black Caucus visited Tulsa, Oklahoma last month on the anniversary of the massacre, and now they want “to stage a reparations vote” in order to get Congress “to launch a study into the delicate question of whether the country owes Black Americans restitution for slavery.”

According to the Huffington Post, Lisa Jones, a chemist and professor at the University of Maryland, withdrew her candidacy for a job at UNC saying that she couldn’t look “past UNC’s treatment of Hannah-Jones when considering whether to join its faculty.”

President Joe Biden faced criticism on Tuesday over remarks that he made while speaking in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on race-related issues, saying that black entrepreneurs are “just as capable” as white entrepreneurs, but they don’t have lawyers or accountants.
“The data shows young black entrepreneurs are just as capable of succeeding given the chance as white entrepreneurs are,” Biden said. “But they don’t have lawyers. They don’t have, they don’t have accountants, but they have great ideas.

Obama Administration Used Foreign Intelligence Service To Spy On U.S. Allies In Europe: Report
Former Democrat President Barack Obama’s administration reportedly spied on U.S. allies in Europe and top European politicians – including German Chancellor Angela Merkel – by using Denmark’s Defense Intelligence Service (FE).
“The findings are the result of a 2015 internal investigation in the Danish Defense Intelligence Service into NSA’s role in the partnership,” Reuters reported. “According to the investigation, which covered the period from 2012 to 2014, the NSA used Danish information cables to spy on senior officials in Sweden, Norway, France and Germany, including former German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and former German opposition leader Peer Steinbrück.”

Tennis Star Fined $15k For Shunning Media After Match, Warned Of Further Consequences
Tennis star Naomi Osaka was fined $15,000 Sunday for refusing to attend a post-match press conference during the French Open, and has been warned that she will face further consequences if she continues to do so.
While Osaka had a successful start to the tournament, she said previously that she would skip mandatory post-match media briefings during the French Open. Under the rules, Osaka must still meet with the media for post-match news conferences upon request, reports AP.
