A nationally televised event commemorating the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, featuring appearances by Stacey Abrams and singer John Legend, has been canceled just four days before broadcast, with organizers blaming “unexpected circumstances with entertainers and speakers.”
“Remember & Rise,” which was scheduled for broadcast Monday, was supposed to feature Stacey Abrams delivering a keynote address to a crowd of 6,000 people at the ONEOK Field in Tulsa.

U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide displayed the flag of Black Lives Matter (BLM) — an organization founded by a self-avowed “trained Marxist” — on Tuesday to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of George Floyd, a black American who died while in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota last May.

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors resigned on Thursday, following controversy about her personal wealth — though she, and the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF), denied that had anything to do with it.

Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Craig Melvin Reports” that lawmaker’s work “to affirm once and for all that Black Lives Matter” must go beyond the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.
Pressley said, “Qualified immunity is an unjust doctrine that has been codified in statute after statute, that has allowed for law enforcement to operate with callous disregard for Black and brown bodies, with reckless impunity for our lives, without any consequences. George Floyd was brutally murdered. Why did that happen? It happened because we have to affirm the fact Black Lives Matter because our lives have not mattered. They have not been valued. There was no humanity, no grace extended or afforded to him. Black folks have been dehumanized.
