House Republicans: Evidence shows COVID-19 originated from Chinese lab leak

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee say there is “significant circumstantial evidence” that the coronavirus originated from a leak at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, and that the US government “may have funded or collaborated” in the research that led to it.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the panel, and other Republicans on the committee released the report obtained by Fox News, which concluded that it is essential for health experts and government officials to understand how the deadly virus originated to prevent “or quickly mitigate future pandemics.”

“International efforts to discover the true source of the virus, however, have been stymied by a lack of cooperation from the People’s Republic of China,” ​they wrote​ in the report​.

When Christie’s auctioned off an NFT for more than $69 million in March, it propelled the concept squarely into the public spotlight — with everything from iconic sports moments to memes being memorialized into NFTs and sold often for staggering prices.

What is an NFT?

Fundamentally, NFTs are one-of-a-kind, verifiable digital assets that are traded on blockchain technology.

That’s a high-tech way of saying it’s a bit of data representing something unique, or at least scarce, that allows the owner to prove the asset is theirs.

In that way, they’re a bit like limited-edition sneakers, or collectable stamps. But instead of receiving the physical objects, buyers of NFTs receive a digital file that claims ownership of some asset, whether it be a piece of digital art, a sports highlight, song — or even a fart.

If the cancel culture crew keeps up its “woke” campaign, men like Joe Rogan are in danger of being silenced forever, Rogan claims.

In an interview with comedian Joe List on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, the host lamented at how oppressed the once irreverent comedy scene has become as of late.

“Can you make a good comedy movie anymore, or have they made it so dangerous in terms of being canceled, that comedy movies are no longer something you can do?” Rogan asked.
